Essay 1-01b

Dear host family,

My name is Nana. I’m 19 years old and a university student in Kumamoto. I would like to introduce my family to you. There are 5 people in my family: my parents, my grandmother, my younger sister and myself. My father and my mother are bank clerks. My sister is a high school student. We have a dog, Cham. He is very cute. I love him.

My hobby is to watch foreign dramas on TV. I like “HEROES”. What do you think of it? I want to know if you like dramas. I’m excited about visiting, but at the same time I feel nervous because I have never been abroad. I want to see, learn, and experience whatever I can. My favorite subject is English. I would like to speak with your family. I want to hear and speak English all the time.

I like to see many places. I want to see them with your family. What place do you think is the best? Please tell me and take me to go with you. Then, I want to know more about your family. Please tell me about your family. So I believe that this home stay program will be a wonderful opportunity.

I am very happy that I will be visiting you for a home stay starting in this summer. Thanks very much for agreeing to be my hosts. I am really looking forward to staying with you while I study English and I want to get along with your family. I look forward to meeting you in this summer.

Sincerely, Nana

  1. Hi Nana,

Would you please work extra information that you wrote and listed at the end or your post ("Revisions") into existing or new paragraphs in the body or your essay (above)? Then you should correct the labels with commas (essays, revisions), and add a "graphics" label, too, once you've included a mindmap graphic in this post.

    Cheers, PB
